Microsoft has announced price adjustments for SaaS solutions as of April 1, 2025, which we summarize for you in the following article.
The prices for Microsoft 365 / Dynamics 365 SaaS licenses - including Dynamics 365 Business Central - will be increased by 5% as of April 1, 2025 for the annual subscription with monthly payment and for the 3-year subscription with monthly payment.
The adjustments also apply to Swiss francs and US dollars.

Please note that the announced price increases will only take effect after your current subscription expires, provided this is after April 1, 2025.
The change will apply to these Microsoft products from April 1, 2025:
- Microsoft 365
- Office 365
- Enterprise Mobility + Security
- Windows 365
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 (u.a. Business Central)
Until now, only the subscription period determined the price. From April 1, 2025, the payment method will also determine the price. We therefore recommend that you check your contracts in the Microsoft 365 Admin Center so that you can switch to the annual payment method at the next renewal.
On-premises licensing: What's next?
As of April 1, 2025, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central will no longer be available for purchase on-premises for new customers. Why has Microsoft decided to take this step? With this development, Microsoft is taking another big step away from the traditional purchase model towards moving to subscription service with a cloud focus.
For existing YAVEON customers with a current enhancement (or maintenance) plan, however, it will still be possible to extend licenses by adding users, objects or modules to their existing version, for example.
YAVEON recommends: This is what you should do now.
With purchase licenses being discontinued for new customers from 2025, Microsoft is now also taking action on the licensing side after many major technical steps towards the cloud.
YAVEON customers will of course be able to continue to use and extend their existing on-premises license. This is guaranteed by an active enhancement (or maintenance) plan.
Nevertheless, you can make the leap to the cloud with the next update. We will be happy to advise you on your individual path to a current Business Central version. The biggest advantages:
- Your solution runs on the secure systems in the Microsoft data centers.
- You benefit from the constant further developments, functional enhancements and innovations from Microsoft.
- You are set up for the future.
